University of Wisconsin-Madison was founded in 1848 and is the largest
university in the U.S. state
of Wisconsin. The total Fall 2002
enrollment was 41,552 students, of whom 28,778 are undergraduates.
University of Wisconsin-Madison is the full official name. It is also called
UW,
UW-Madison, or Wisconsin
for short.
