The
University of Southern Indiana (USI) is one of two 4-year universities in Evansville, Indiana.
This publicly-funded institution is rapidly growing, and, in 2004, outpaced the growth of all other major universities in the
state. The University's advantage is its relatively low tuition. Fall enrollment in
2004 figures broke 10,000 students enrolled for the first time. The school mascots are the Screaming Eagles.
