This is a great college to go to. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants the complete college experience. If I had to do it over again I would definitely choose USC. Advice I would give to future students: take advantage of every opportunity it has to offer.

Great campus and perfect weather throughout the year. The surrounding areas off-campus are not very safe therefore living on-campus is a better option than living off-campus. Dining hall food is limited and not very good. USC has great resources and numerous job offerings. Overall and great school and very competative.
There is incredible diversity in this school. Not only ethnically, socio-economically, etc. But also in the level of seriousness. If you want to party your ass off, going to football games, pep rallies, Frat parties, there is plenty of that. If you want to be a hard core student, you will get an excellent education. Try to maintain some balance.
I enjoyed almost everything about the school, except of course, how expensive it was. I graduated with an Economics degree and found it to be a very good choice. My advice to anyone thinking of going to 'SC is: Get lots of grants and scholarships and decide what major you want to pursue as soon as possible. That, in my opinion, will give you the most for your buck and the best experience. USC offers a "small" class environment by splitting the lectures into study sessions with TAs. That is one of the best things about 'SC. It defintely made a difference for me.
While there are some apathetic professors, especially in entry level classes, there are even more who are genuinely engaged in their work. Ask around, and find the professors who bring the material to life; you will not be disappointed. My biggest concern remains that a large percentage of the student body do not bring anything to the table and appear to be merely coasting, this is especially true of the Fraternity/Sorority populations. Nonetheless, I do not regret my decision to attend USC for one second, and having transferred, I do have a frame of reference here!
