The school is really great. It was built in the 50's and there has been current construction to keep it new and beautiful. It is easy to walk across the entire campus and we have our own bus system. The professors are really cool for psychology and anthropology. The Honors College here actually has you write a thesis for which you get graduate school credit. Close to Busch Gardens and a water park. There are lots of fun things to do around campus including outdoor and indoor activities. Great people here too. I would totally go here again given the chance because it is a great university.

I had a fantastic experience at the University of South Florida. I had the privilege of participating in the Honors College, which offered the benefit of smaller class sizes with specific, interesting topics. The campus is beautiful and very easy to navigate. The university provides numerous activities and resources for its students, such as a free-of-cost computer lab and a six-story library and media center. USF is an up-and-coming school in the world of college sports, especially the football team. I would recommend this school to any potential student looking for an affordable, quality univeristy experience.

I attended this college over 6 years ago. At that time parking was an absolute nightmare. They charge atleast 50 dollars for a student parking permit, but the ratio of students to parking spaces was ridiculous. This was a major issue, USF addressed it by planning to build another parking garage. Should be done by now. The only other complaint I have, sometimes your classes are extremely far away from each other. The campus is very large. Sometimes I would have to walk about a mile or so to my next class, even climbing 3 flights of stairs after all that. They do have elevators in most buildings reserved for the handicapped. It is an outside, inside university. If the weather is bad, prepare to walk a mile in rain. Always bring an umbrella (you never know when you will need it). Overall, I would recommend this school. The price is very good and the professors were okay. Some were better than others (I think it's like that everywhere). I would go there again if I wanted to further my education, but mostly because my credits are there and I could avoid a transfer.

I graduated from the University of South Florida in the summer of 2005, and looking back I feel that it was an average college experience. To begin with, the university is primarily a commuter school, so it feels more like you are driving to and from work than attending a college when you are on the campus. Additionally, the academic programs are in general average, with my program being inadequate in many areas. I often found the professors were more interested in covering pet topics and forcing their views upon us than in actually educating us. Still, if you put some effort into it, you can walk away with a decent education. Overall, if you are searching for an inexpensive school with a nice climate, access to good attractions, and minimal academic requirement, USF is perfect.

The University of South Florida is a small school with a big name. The class sizes at USF are small enough for each student to know his or her professor, and the degree you recieve will be recongnized by employers around the world.

Good as a commuter college. I probably would not go if I had to redo. Very good school for medicine and medical research. It is very liberal.

USF is a fairly good college. I think it is somewhat lacking in prestige and is lacking in technology. I beleive that overall the proffesors are good but many of the classes are to easy. Tampa is boring and there is not much to do. There are many students attending this college that are not serious about their education.

Make sure to research and make a plan for yourself when it comes to your courses. You can't always count on your advisor to make a good decision for you. I would definately go to USF again. Once you are a junior or senior, class sizes get dramatically smaller. The con is that they are larger in your first 2 years. Alot larger.

This is a great college if you can get used to such a huge environment. Sharing a campus with about 40,000 people might be intimidating to some, but once you get past that it is great.

USF was a good school, with a lot of diversity. Majority of the professors are good and easy to talk to. The dorms are pretty clean, but the maintenance department sucks at responding to your calls. There are a lot of clubs and greek organizations to join. Parking is not great and the tickets can really add up at $30 a pop.

USF is a great school. The staff is very helpful from RA's to Advisors. All you have to do is be willing to ask for help. The meal plans are wonderful and there are many different options to choose from. The dorms are nice, and maintenance is quick and productive. The elevators are slow and are often malfunctioning (all over campus), so beware. They have a pretty much campus wide wireless system and the library is a great place to study. Movies on the Lawn is great (the highlight of my every week) and there are a lot of classes to choose from. entrance into limited access progrmas are competitive though, so you have to stay on top.
