The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is a good college overall. The landscaping is nice and the buildings well kept. The classes are usually small and well taught. Housing is apartment style so, 4 to 6 people will share an apartment (living room, kitchen, bathroom). The campus is very safe with very few criminal incidents. The campus is in a very rural setting so there is plenty of room for hiking, jogging, and other outdoor activities.
There are a few minor problems with the university. First it is cold most of the college year, earliest snow I have ever seen was on October 2nd. The bureaucracy is miserable, all the paper work is done digitally, so if you owe the university $50 in some fee they won't send you letters most of the time, until they send collections after you.
Other Points
- Not a dry campus, alcohol is allowed under certain conditions.
- Network bandwidth limit, 1,000MB per day.
- Laundromat on campus 20 washers, 20 Dryers
- The campus is guarded by real police officers, with real guns, and real police power, don't mess with them.
- Each section (appartment house, 40-60 residents) is watched by an university appointed student. They supply toilet paper, light bulbs, trash bags, a basic cleaning equipment.
- Windows XP, Norton Anti-virus, Microsoft Office, and several other programs are available for free to students. |
