  UND has one of the best aviation programs and an exceptional engineering department. The staff are there to ensure that the students succeed. I recommend that individuals desiring to attend UND prepare themselves for the cold winters of the Northern Plains.

  UND was a very family friendly college. There was many activities for all the students and theeir families to participate in. The faculty were helpful in admission to classes and setting up finacial aid. The campus was every welcoming. Once in classes the teachers were very knowledgable and open to questions. You weren't just a number, the teachers would meet individually if you need to discuss assignments. The campus was well maintained and it was a pleasant year. Recently they have put in a new parking ramp so even the parking has improved. It is never far to walk. For people who prefer to bike there are bike paths and bike racks available. Everything is very convenient.

  Have fun. Make friends. And prepare for a lifetime of success. yes i would. yes 97% of UND grads are employed or furthering their education and 9 out of 10 UND grads work in their degree field. The University of North Dakota is a liberal arts college with over 190 programs of study. It's classified as a doctoral/research-intense university by the Carnegie Foundation. UND is in Grand Forks, North Dakota — one of the safest cities and states in the nation.

  I was very well pleased with the scope of education I received, and quite happy with the variety of activities and opportunities on and near campus.

Overall, I thought the class experience was wonderful, though there were (as at every college) a very few professors that were unpleasant to deal with. The student body is small enough that you do feel that the professors know who you are, except in a few lecture bowl classes. Most of the professors I dealt with had high but achievable expectations, and most were willing to work with students in unique situations.

Grand Forks and the University offer a good balance between small town and big city environments: a good mix of entertainments, shows, and opportunities while being small enough to get to know people and avoid hassles like traffic jams!

If I had to choose a college all over again, UND would definately be on my list. If I had to do it over again, I would take more advantage of the shows, the plays, the concerts, the museum, the gym and the many student groups!

What should people know about UND? There is more to life in North Dakota than snow, lefse, and hockey! (Hockey *is* a big deal, however!) The campus is beautiful all year round, and the weather is gorgeous in spring and fall. The variety of classes and learning opportunities is wonderful, and most professors really care about the students.

  The University of North Dakota (UND) is a liberal arts college in northeast North Dakota. It is known for its aerospace, medicine, and law programs. Some of the undergraduate classes tend to have large class sizes, but the upper level and graduate classes are small and have very informal interactions with the professors. I would definitely choose UND again, and I am seriously considering attending again to earn my graduate degree.

It has a lively sports atmosphere, especially involving the Division I hockey teams (men and women). It is the home of what many people consider to be the finest college hockey arena in the country, Ralph Engelstad Arena.
