The
University of New Mexico (UNM) is a public university in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. It was founded in 1889, and today offers multiple bachelor's, master's,
doctoral, and professional degree programs. Its Albuquerque campus currently spreads over 600 acres (2.4 km²), and UNM has branch campuses in Gallup, Los Alamos,
Taos, and Valencia County.Esteemed professors include Everett Rogers, founder of diffusion of innovations theory, who moved to the
university in 1995 to set up a doctoral program in communications. Rogers was named Regents' Professor, the highest title the
university bestows.
