I went through the graphic design school at UMD. It's a great school with some rather inspiring professors. The only problem I had, was there was too much concept and not enough technical classes... for example, my drawing class didn't teach me any drawing techniques or How to draw even. Hell...The final project for the class didn't even need to be a drawing.
THis is a fantastic college in the beautiful city of Duluth. The library facilities are top class and recently renovated, the professors are of a high quality and the foreign study programs could rival any other university. It is built on a hill so if you live down by the lake this may not be ideal for walking and as ever parking can be a bit short but the bus facilities are very good. An awesome university and I would recommend anyone go here
