Outside of class, nothing much goes on here. I wouldn't recommend this school to people who actually want to expand their horizons. If I had to do it all over again, I would have chosen a different school. The teachers and classes are great and it is in a very safe environment but that's all it's got. There is no culture, it's hard to make friends becuase everyone goes home for the weekends, and it's incredibly conservative.

In UCI , the quality of education is very good. But I felt like the fees in this college are very high and the parking fee is also high. But the staff, friends, activities and everything else was good. I have enjoyed my college days her and Ihave good memories.

Going to UCI was great. The other students were friendly and smart, the teachers were helpful, and the area is full of things to do. If you're interested in getting a great education and not the least bit intimidated I'd suggest going to UCI. With everyone being so incredibly smart it can be a bit intimidating and you might feel a bit dumb but ultimately you just end up learning more and having a better time.

I would highly advise attending the University of California, Irvine, especially if you already live in southern California. The area is nice, and it's fairly convenient to commute (it's definitely a commuter campus). However, if you prefer to live on campus (and I recommend this for all first-year undergrads), there is plenty of nice on-campus housing.

If you are considering a degree in the sciences, this university is an excellent choice because there are plentiful research opportunities available (something harder to find in smaller colleges). Keep in mind, however, that the class sizes are large, so you have to make an extra effort to get to know your professors. Also, if you are coming in as a biology major, be prepared for cut-throat competition. This major provides excellent preparation for any post-grad school you choose, including medical school, so it's no surprise that most of the biologicals sciences major is comprised of pre-medical students (which explains the competitiveness).

The parking situation has gotten better in the last couple of years, but be prepared for constant construction. (UC Irvine is one of the few UCs that actually has property to expand on.)

If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely attend the University of California, Irvine, and the only thing I would change is my lack of involvement with the student association and clubs on campus.

Get to know your professors really well. Go to office hours to get to know them. It is a really safe campus. If I had to choose to go to this school again, I would. The student lounge is small and lacking activities.

I would definitely go to this college again. There are a lot of opportunities for students at all stages of college. I recommend taking advantage of the opportunities and exploring the different offices available. You will discover many offices with very interesting opportunities for students.

Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty good college but it's not for all people especially if you're thinking about entering as a biology major. Biology majors tend to be depressed at Irvine and the level of stress is up the roof. I only recommend this college is you can stand it especially as a non biology major. I would do it again but not starting as a biology major this time around. People probably don't know how much depressed some of the students are or the cases of suicides at the campus.
