Suffolk University is an urban school. The city of Boston is Suffolk's campus so don't expect sprawling fields and gardens. The school also works with limited resources. The gym is tiny and cramped, the work-out center has about twenty machines and the cafeteria is underground. However, if you're more interested in attending classes than worrying about the facilities, then you're in luck. Suffolk has a great faculty. The classes are small and the professors get to know you on a first hand basis. Suffolk also has really flexible schedules. The residences at Suffolk are few. There are two dorms and only the freshmen and sophomores get to live there. The rest of the students either commute or live in an apartment not far from the school. The amount of international students is astounding. Suffolk caters to them with numerous clubs and programs.
Suffolk University is limited in the fields for which it can prepare students. Those interested in political science or business-related fields will find it a generally positive experience. Those interested in other fields would be advised to look elsewhere.
