My advice would be to become involved in as many outside activities as you are interested in. I would recommend this college to anyone looking for a career in the performing arts. I would choose to attend again. The pros are the availability of classes, size and cost. The cons include being in the bible belt (very conservative town) and the constant rainy weather. This school has a tremendous amount of alumni on Broadway.
I loved going to college here. I graduated in 2002 with a B.S. in Computer Science. It was a very good computer science program, and since then I have compared my experience with other students who graduated from other schools and they were not as pleased with their education.
I went to SMSU (Now Missouri State University) for four years where I studied Computer Science. The CS degree is accredited by the same organization that accredits MIT. MSU is a great college in both academics and extra-curricular activities. There is a thriving social side, with several Frats and Sororities, and the campus is a dry campus. The training I received for my CS degree allowed me to quickly get a job as a professional web developer, and I'm very successful at it. Overall it's a great college, especially for the low tuition.
SMSU/MSU has been a good school, overall. You find a wide variety of interests within the student population and almost all of the instructors are willing to help you get that better grade. There is a small town feeling and always something to do.
