My experience with SVSU was completely positive. The class sizes are small, and professors are usually available to give students individual attention. The campus is clean and attractive. Dining on campus is somewhat limited, but the quality is pretty high (especially for cafeteria food). The tuition is extremely affordable, and even if one wishes to transfer to a larger university, SVSU is a great place to take one's general education classes. I graduated from SVSU, and I would definitely recommend the school.
This college is a great starter college. It is well known for criminal justice and education majors. It is a university but the campus is not so overwhelming. (Although it does take a little navigating at first). The teachers are very friendly (for the most part) and are very helpful when sought out.
Yes, I would recommend this college. I would go to this college again if I had to do it all over again as well.
Some of the cons: The schedule fills up fast... so when it's your time to register... do it fast. Know what classes you need and take them first. Sign up for filler classes only after you have what you need for that semester.
Overall - Great collage... great price... and you get your degree :0)
When P.T. Barnum donated money to Tufts University, he did so on the condition that the school's mascot be named after his beloved elephant. The Tufts University mascot has been the "Jumbos" ever since.
