Northwood University is a large and vast university, with departments in 8 different US states. Two of the university's main campuses are located in Midland, Michigan and West Palm Beach, Florida.

The university centers around many different educational teachings for each location, but their main educational focus point is of the automobile industry. Each year in the fall, one of the largest outdoor auto shows is hosted by the Midland, Michigan university campus. This event is also repeated on the West Palm Beach, Florida campus in the spring time.
