I would definitely choose to go to Muhlenberg if I had to make the decision over again. What's great about Muhlenberg is that it's small enough to feel intimate and generate close relationships with peers and professors, but is also big enough to allow one to branch out. One thing to remember is that the school is always hosting something on weekends - it's a free way to meet new people in a student's first year or two living there.
A small school with great potential for professor-student interaction, Muhlenberg makes it easy to explore a number of possible academic paths while choosing a major or two. It's also possible to double major in such disparate fields as English Lit and Physics. The English and Theater departments are particularly strong, though it may be difficult getting quality research experience in the hard sciences since there is no graduate population.
