Montana State University - Bozeman was created on February 16,
1893, as the
Agricultural College of the State of Montana, the state's land-grant college. It was later renamed the
Montana College
of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. By the 1920s, the institution's preferred name was
Montana State College. It was changed on July 1, 1965, when the assembly of the state of Montana changed MSC's name to
Montana State University. It is the main campus in the Montana State University System. It is located in Bozeman, Montana, USA.Montana State's colors are blue and gold and their nickname is the Bobcats. Montana State sports teams
