I have mostly good things to say about Messiah. It has a gorgeous campus and it is great for those who enjoy nature and walks in the woods. The people are extremelly friendly and most people should have no problem making friends quickly. The faculty is great and they care about your growth, and since it is a small college they can spend time to get to know each student, which can be very important for student in their first year. On the negative side, the campus is away from everythig. So, my advice is to have a car. You can do without one because you can often find people to give you rides, but you are stuck if you want/need to go out durng a time when others are busy. Although Messiah tries to be diverse, you will find that this is not the case. So, if you are thinking about going there, I would sugest that you talk with current students so you can start thinking how you would fit in. I loved my experience at Messiah and would do everything again if I could.
Messiah College is a small Christian college in central Pennsylvania. It is a good school if you are looking for small class sizes and a Christian college. Size has it's benefits and it's limitations. Yes, you will have small class sizes, but your overall choices in classes is more limited that options at a larger school. The school is also located outside of Harrisburg, PA, in a more rural area. Once you are on campus, a car is needed to go most places.
Its a nice school that is beautiful but many of the students are local enough to go home on the weekends. Not a big party school but its there if you want to find it (off campus usually). I would choice this school for people who want to go to a chirstian school and I would go there again if I were to do it over again. They have good athletics for the most part - Soccer(yes) some other sports not completely.
Choosing Messiah College was a great choice. The professors actually care about the students and most classes are small. If you want to get a great education and have many opportunities to grow as a Christian it is the place to go.
