La Salle University is an institution of higher learning located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The University
offers undergraduate concentrations in nearly 60 academic areas within its three schools: Arts & Sciences, Business
Administration, and Nursing. Included are several new and distinctive high-tech majors like Integrated Science, Business and
Technology (ISBT) and Digital Arts and Multimedia Design. The university also offers master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several courses
of study.Founded in 1863 by the De La Salle Christian Brothers,
as of 2004 the school had over 5,500 students, around three quarters of which were
undergraduates. Located in the Northwestern neighborhood of Logan, the university is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Graduates include Allen Neuharth, founder of the national newspaper
"USA Today".
