Hood College is a liberal arts college located in Frederick, Maryland.

Founded in 1893 as the Woman's College of Frederick, it was originally a women only college and did not admit men until 1971. Located on 50 acres and containing 30 buildings some 1,000 graduate students and another 900 undergraduates study at Hood in 27 undergraduate majors, eight master's degree and five certification programs.
