Just because it is a Jesuit university don't assume you have to be Catholic to go there. Gonzaga goes out of its way to make students from all faith, culture, and other backgrounds welcome. It provides a world class education with incredible facilities thanks to the popularity and success of the basketball team. The campus is very positive and you can always find something going on from theater and arts to sports and outdoor entertainment.

The city of Spokane where Gonzaga is located is a bit small and quiet. It has all the amenities of large cities like museums, arts, music, and festivals, but everything is on a small scale. It's getting bigger, but don't expect lots of parties, or high society events.

Overall, Gonzaga is a great choice. They support their students and alumni in all their endeavors, and you will feel like part of a family once you attend. I highly recommend it, especially to anyone looking to get a great education without going to a "big box" university where you might get lost in the shuffle.

Some tips for students considering this college would be to go and visit it first to make sure they like the atmosphere and the setting of the college. I would highly recommend this college it has a small time feel to it with roughly only six thousand students but has big time athletics with its D1 basketball team. Some of the pros of going to Gonzaga are the small class sizes and the teachers willingness to help students understand the material. There is also a great workout facility for students. And the campus is kept in immaculate condition. Some cons are you don't have that huge school feel if you like that type of school. Also there isn't always a whole lot to do in Spokane on the weekends. Something to know about this college that many haven't already heard is that many schools boast having a friendly community Gonzaga actually does have one of the friendliest communities I have ever been around.
