Remember that, while it is in the middle of no where, the mountains offer a fountain of things to do. I would recommend Ferrum becuase you get to be outside no matter what your major; they have everything from Environmental Science to Computer Science. I would go here again the teachers have actually done what their teaching. The pros to a small school: Your teachers care and they know you and everything about you..the cons: Read the pros. We were super involved in the community and Ferrum's a college that thrives off the support of the community. The Community is folk life unlike any you experience anywhere else on earth.
