Emory University is an excellent and prestigious academic institution. As a student I find the environment to be very nurturing and not too overwhelming. There is excellent professor-student communication and professors are very approachable and see to it that their students are succeeding. It has the statistics of an Ivy League university and I believe the eduction I received there will help me to be among the best.
It's located in a convenient neighborhood, there is lots of transportation and it is near to downtown Atlanta where there is excellent nightlife. You meet lots of diverse people and I would recommend it to everyone. My one tip is that you need to prepare to work hard at this school and find a balance between social life and fun.
Live in a dorm that is on campus; Don't be afraid to talk to people. Remember everyone is in the same boat as you. Be nice to everyone you can. Don't judge. Stand up for yourself. Rush! Emory is a great university, number 18 in the country. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose this college. The only con to it is that not many people have heard of it. But when you tell your doctor that you are going to Emory, they will be impressed. The professors are great and the students are wonderful. Go to Emory!
