Because Queens College is a commuter school, you get what you put into it. You join clubs, and be active in them, you make friends. You don't, you don't. Thankfully there are dozens of clubs to choose from. Queens College offered me a generous scholarship which made it possible for me to finish my undergrad with nothing to repay, so even though it was the same amout as other private colleges were offering me, I would choose Queens College every time. The professors were good, and I never had issues with any of them. But, again, you get out of your classes what you put in. If you just come and go, take tests and get your grades, that's fine. But if you want to make serious contacts, be sure to stand out in your classes. If you like a professor, let them know on the evaluations as well as by taking another class they're teaching, just because they are the professor. |
