Cornell's unique One-Course-At-A-Time academic calendar creates a demanding, rigorous courseload that requires students to stay dedicated to one subject, each day, for three and a half weeks. The great thing about this schedule, however, is that students get a four-day break every month before starting a new class. Remember that this calendar is very intense, and that procrastination is definitely NOT an option. Even though it's intense, it still affords students flexibility. Classes in places from London to the Bahamas are offered each year, and there are frequently field trips to surrounding cities like Chicago. I would absolutely choose Cornell if I had to do it again.
