	Concordia University Wisconsin is located in Mequon, Wisconsin, a city of just over 20,000 inhabitants about fifteen minutes north of Milwaukee. The institution is an affiliate of the ten-member Concordia University System, which is operated by the second-largest Lutheran church body in the United States, the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS). The university's mission statement reads: "Concordia University Wisconsin is a Lutheran higher education community committed to helping students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world."
