It's a great college for the "Eastern college experience". It caters predominantly to the New England area where its reputation and alumni base are very strong. If you plan to live in the East after graduation it is an excellent choice. If you intend to move to the west coast, as I did, the alumni association and name recognition get fairly thin.
As a school it is small (maybe 2500) so you really get to know your classmates. The academics are excellent and the campus life is second to none. I really enjoyed my time there and recommend it to anyone.
The number of students who study the Russian language in U.S. colleges has dropped in half since the end of the Cold War. Chinese, on the other hand, has doubled.
