Founded as a women's college in 1908,
Coker College officially became co-ed in
1969, although men had been attending since World War II. It is located in Hartsville, South Carolina and accredited by the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools.A liberal arts college, it was once affiliated with the
South Carolina Baptist,
Convention, but is now non-denominational.The highly ranked college has an average class size of 12, and enrolls about 500
students each year.
