Terrific faculty...very engaged and accessible. Excellent engineering school, behind only Georgia Tech in the South. For a private school, not overly expensive. Beautiful campus in the center of Memphis.
The great thing about Christian Brother's University is that it's a small university in the heart of Memphis TN. Alas, that's also the bad thing about CBU. For teacher attention, it's awesome. The teachers there are wonderful and care about what you need to get through your classes. But location is not so prime - the neighborhood around CBU is pretty bad. When I was there cars were stolen, and one girl got mugged in the parking lot. Definitely worthwhile for the quality of the education, bear in mind that as a small school it does not have the range of extra-curricular activities that a larger school has. I liked it, but be sure those aren't important drawbacks for you!
Christian Brothers University is a small college that provided a lot of one on one opportunities with the faculty. I recommend this school to anyone thinking of applying to it. Over the past couple years I have thought of returning to CBU to persue another degree because of my previous experience with them.
The school is a Catholic institution, but it is not overtly Catholic (shoving it down your throat). It is demanding work, though, because of the Brothers. So if you are not one that is ready to work hard, then CBU is not the school for you.
