If one is considering going into film, theater or other media the school is not bad, but at this point in time, the media arts program is currently undergoing a large rescaling of the program, which means now is probably not the best time to come to this school. The school is in a growing stage and thus there is a large amount of construction but at the same time it shows that there are good things to come. One very nice aspect is that the class sizes are small since there aren't really any large lecture halls on this campus, because of this the teachers tend to care more about the individual students. There can be some beaurocratic issues with some of the administration but they seem to be improving. If I were to choose schools again I believe I would still have chosen CSUMB, despite the downfalls of the department I experienced.
