This is a great school in a great location. One of the safest locations I have ever been in. People leave their doors open, cars unlocked, and computers laying around. It's not out of the ordinary to see people jogging late in the evening in the streets. Ventura county is definety upper class. Having said that everything closes early by the campus, with the expection of Jack in the Box. People here are great! Everyone knows eachother or almost at least of the person. Small classes are a big plus only downside is most classes take attendance. Although a Lutheran College, religion is not pushed on to you at all. This school is very one on one, and many resources are available (if you are ambitious) in order for you to excell in academics, internships, and potentially in your future career. Thousand Oaks also seems to be in the middle of everything, 45 mins away from Los Angeles, you can even make it to LA under that with no trafiic . San Diego is also only three hours away and trips to Tijuana are common. Not only that Malibu is only 10 minutes away and the beaches are nearby. Santa Barbara is also only an hour away. The location is perfection due to its cleanliness compared to LA County. The Campus is also growing especially at this moment with our new athletic complex's completion next year. |
