BSU has a relatively small, but comfortable campus. The student life is active, and the student center is great. The sports - particularly Bronco football - are incredible. I was very happy with the majority of my courses, but I refuse to recommend any sociology course taught by Dr. Baker. There is an excellent Student Success Program for first generation college students and students with exceptionalities. The food options on campus are great, and anything that isn't within walking distance is easily accessible by one of the express buses. The tuition is reasonable, all things considered, and the bookstore prices are about average. I highly recommend any political science courses taught by Dr. Wampler, and - if he is still there - any courses taught by adjunct professor Mark Datema Lipscomb (he was teaching Western Civ when I left).
Boise is probably one of the best cities to go to for school. BSU is an awesome school with a great balance of both academics and athletics. There's lots of stuff to do in Boise outside of college activities, too. For example, the ski resort Bogus Basin is only about an hour away. People may look down on a state school, but BSU is far different in every way.
