  Consider living off campus as soon as possible, the dorms are not exactly conducive to studying or sleeping. There are reasonable accomadations in most of your typical University areas (student unions, meeting places, eating establishments, etc.) The library is probably one of the best around for a state school. Bloomsburg is the best as far as education majors are concerned, and "not bad" to get your undergrad degree in most other fields. It's what I would call mediocre all-around. Affordable education to get you a bachelor's degree and move on to bigger things.

  I would not have came to Bloomsburg if I did not like it on my visit. The campus is very nice but there is ALWAYS construction which causes some traffic problems. The night life is always fun but lately there has been some serious crimes occuring late at night which is hopefully just a little fad. Police are getting more strict and should be able to handle these late night incidents.

  Bloomsburg University provided a high quality education, challenges, opportunities to expand my overall horizons and learn while in a rural location.

It is about 1.5-2 hours from major metropolitan areas such as Philadlephia and Harrisburg, close enough but far enough away too.

Bloomsburg offers a wide array of educational experiences, generally small class sizes and a strong number of organizations, clubs, fraternities and sports.

While its students are mostly from Pennsylvania and surrounding states, I distinctly remember having a political science course of Dr. James Percy that had students from 11 states and five countries.

I highly recommend Bloomsburg, it has everything one wants in a college with the exception of being in a multi-diverse, major city. Some like the idea of the opera, major sports, etc. If that's the case, Bloom might not be for you.

Otherwise, it's a wonderful setting, with a strong course curriculum, professors, library, intercollegiate sports and just very nice, down to home people.

I remember thinking that getting away to college (for me it was Bloomsburg versus Temple University in Philadelphia) and I ultimately decided going away to school would provide me with more challenges than staying home. It's a decision I never regretted.

As it turned out, I was still able to attend some Philadelphia Flyers games on weekends, while still being deeply involved with campus activities.

Looking back, Bloom was a great decision.

  I enjoyed my time at Bloomsburg University. The classes were challenging, the teachers were very helpful. The social life had a lot to offer. There were many fraternities and sororities to choose from - both social and academic. The dorms were nice and each had it own distinct features. I would definitely recommend this college to anyone. I would definitely choose to go to this college again, if I could do it again. The parking lot was across the main road, and it was a hike to get your car if you needed it. They offer a wide variety of work-study programs.

  After getting into Bloomsburg University, i was very excited. However after completing several classes there, many difficulties have arised. Because of the size of the University, going from place to place for each class became a hassle. Related classes should be in the same area, not all of the way across campus. The dorms were horrible, dirty and too expensive. After completion of the classes, i wanted to know my grade, and the college professor didn't even know my name!

  This is a great campus! I would definitely recommend this college. The professors are wonderful. They are very helpful. Tuition costs are very reasonable. It's a large college located on top of a hill. You'll definitely get a lot of exercise walking up the hill to class.

  I absolutely would recommend Bloomsburg University to prospective students. I graduated in 2002 with a bachelor's in Psychology, and was fairly well prepared for a post graduate career. Though it is a rather run of the mill state school, the program that I attended was reasonably priced, and also prepared me very well for graduate school.

  This is a segregated college, lot's of causatian people. the teachers are not that great, the location is somewhat central, but still far from jobs, externships, and any big cities. The pros? it's cheap if you are a PA resident. If I had to do it all over again, I'd pick up some other place to go. If you like to party, you might like this place.

  This is a very nice state college. It has some very competitive majors where the students work very hard and you get an excellent education. This is not a drop in the bucket school. It is not super easy to get accepted to Bloomsburg University.

It is a relatively nice campus although there is always construction going on. They build and remodel buildings very often.

The town isn't the most exciting in the world. It is a small town afterall. But there is sitll plenty to do; nice restaurants, bars, bar and grills, movie,bowling, etc.
