I would urge prospective undergraduates to be wary of UW's promotional literature. Although UW claims that classes are small and undergraduates are a priority, my experience proved otherwise. Classes were enormous, professors largely dismissed undergraduates, and it was difficult to find a niche at the school. That said, UW is undeniably inexpensive -- even for out-of-state students -- and the new Hathaway scholarships should make the school even more reasonable. Choose UW for its (cheap) price, not for the education.
