This college is in a very rural part of western Oklahoma. The closest metropolitan city is Oklahoma City which is located 75 miles on I-40. Academics is strong, especially in the areas of Business, Pharmacy, Education and Mass Communications. Tuition and on-campus housing is affordable. Night-life is pretty much non-existent on the weekends.
About a third of the students at Washington and Lee University still receive some financial aid from interest on an endowment set up by George Washington in 1796.
