There are more than 470 full-time and adjunct faculty, teaching and research fellows, research assistants, associates and
scientists and post-doctoral and special fellows. The number of full-time teaching faculty is over 155.In 2003, 73 percent of Polytechnic freshmen had an average grade of B or better. More than 90 percent of Polytechnic's
undergraduate students receive financial aid. Over 25 percent of students gain valuable job experience through co-op programs and
internships. The student body represents many diverse backgrounds. Of Polytechnic's undergraduate students, 10 percent are
African-American, 8 percent are Hispanic, 39 percent are Asian, 18 percent are women and 8 percent are international students. Of
the University's graduate students, 4.5 percent are African-American, 1.5 percent are Hispanic, 14.4 percent are Asian, 22
percent are women and 24.9 percent are international students. International students come from more than 50 foreign
countries.
