Bethel College located in McKenzie, Tennessee is a wonderful place to go to school. McKenzie is a passionate town of around 5,000 people and that passion carries over into the school. Bethel has around 1,000 students on campus which makes for a very unique college experience. Everyone is friends with everyone.
When considering Bethel, students need to ask them selves a couple of questions: Do I want to be in a town that cares about the college?
Do I want to pay a very reasonable price (around 18,000 a year) for college?
Do I want my professors to know and care about my progress as a student?
If anyone answers yes to these questions, then Bethel College in McKenzie, TN is the place to go.
As with all colleges, there are good and bad aspects. Some good aspects of Bethel include receiving a laptop computer as a freshman, personal attention from professors, and a variety of majors and minors to choose from. Some down sides of Bethel are that the cafeteria is not always the greatest and that some of the buildings on campus are old. These down sides really are not that bad when you consider that the school is rich in tradition and all college cafeterias have their fair share of complaints.
All in all, I feel that attending Bethel College has been one of the best experiences of my life. I have made life long friends and am receiving a top notch education for an affordable price. Even though the school and town are small, I would still come to Bethel if I had to do it again. After all, the people not buildings and cafeteria food are what make a college experience.
