This College is very diverse in its ethic population and has numerous clubs and events for students to participate. I particularly enjoy the friendliness of the staff and their determination to help students succeed. The staff I have dealt with have gone out of their way to help me with various issues from class planning to subject help. some have even helped with personal matters. The school also has programs to help with medical insurance, Day care and employment placement. They have writing studios to help students with resumes, personal statements for university transfers and statements for scholarships.
The staff is very helpful in getting you to your goals. If you are unclear of you career intentions there is lots of help to get you on the right track. There are even classes to help you figure out what you might like to do as a career. The instructors are very professional yet have a fun loving attitude. Use all the resources made avaliable the instructors are there to help you succeed not just a paycheck. Many instructors have given up careers to be instructors. Use their knowledge to help you succeed.
GRCC has got a lovely campus and a nice forestry program, a very diverse student body and very positive teachers.
also there is a nice buss route from this school to the UW which can come in handy if you are taking some classes at the other College.
I recommend this college its a nice second chance school if you still want to go to the UW and feel you can earn your way there.
also, watch out for the squirrels, they attack anyone carrying food out of doors.
