While this is a military school, non-cadet students do not have to wear uniforms or such. The professors are given ranks and you may be asked to call them by such ranking. If you enroll as a non-cadet you will still be expected to follow some of the same rules (not all but some). Cadets are NOT allowed to talk to non-cadets (though the usually do).
The school is not as laid back on some policies as liberal arts colleges. However, it is a great place to go and recieve your Associates Degree. The teachers will try and help you all they can and tutoing is available throughout the quarter.
The college offers several scholarships. If you can keep your GPA above a 3.0 you will recieve one scholarship without even having to apply.
Chancellors at the College of William and Mary have included some very famous retired statesmen, including Margaret Thatcher (UK Prime Minister), Henry Kissinger (US Secretary of State), Warren E. Burger (US Chief Justice), and, currently, Sandra Day O'Connor (US Associate Justice).
