Southwest, formerly known as State Tech, is a great school for new or returning students. It is relatively small, the student body is there to learn, and the faculty is always available and helpful. Many faculty members come from the community and are working professionals in their field. Degrees and curriculum are goal oriented, with valuable applications in the real world. For anyone nervous about starting or returning ro college, SWTCC is a wonderful place to start or finish your education.
40 years ago, women used to score 50 points lower on the Math portion of the SAT than on the Verbal. Today, their Math and Verbal scores are nearly identical on average.
