North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) was established in 1966 and sits on an 84 acre (340,000 m²) campus consisting
of nine brick buildings, a central courtyard, accessible parking lots, athletic fields, hiking trails, and a nature preserve
area.It is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and offers
coursework as well as pre-professional programs for transfer to baccalaureate programs. It also aims to prepare students for
immediate entry into careers.Each year, more than 8,000 students are enrolled in credit classes, and 11,000 are enrolled in continuing education classes
and customized training.Course offerings occur at various times of the year:
- Credit courses - Fall, Spring, and Summer
- Short-term, non-credit classes - continuously throughout the year
