After leaving banking work I went into the Post Office as a part time supervisor. The work was interesting, varied and involved meeting the general public, which I liked. What I did not like was having to balance the books at the end of the week, especially when they did not! Also annoying was customers coming in at one minute to closing time when they could have come earlier in the day. Also it was necessary to open up, barring acts of God, right on time, which caused stress. After 5 years I gave up, but would still recommend it as a career.
