Most dealerships where I live are looking for younger help, because most people in the field are at least 40 years old. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain customer service experience. As a career change from military to civilian, this is a relatively easy transition. It takes an outgoing personality and at least a general knowledge of automotive and truck parts and repair. While not a high-paying job at first, there is a chance for pay increases. The cons are dealing with picky customers and the subtle office politics.
