Do your homework for the state you live, each state has different requirements for certification and licensing. I would certainly recommend this career to anyone wanting freedom in their career. It is difficult to get started in this industry especially as a man. Your best bet is to start slowly and build your clientele. The downside to this career is the inconsistency of business. Like everything these days there are busy times and slow times. It might be helpful to have someother source of income until you have built your clientele base to support you year round.
