I work in the human resources department of a healthcare product distributor, and my job is posting online ads, planning and staffing job fairs, and interviewing and evaluating applicants for a wide variety of positions.
This career is interesting, challenging, and has a good bit of variety. It requires some area travel to job fairs, but most of the time is in-office conducting phone screens, logging and entering applicant information, or interviewing candidates.
On the down side, the job can be frustrating when filling entry-level positions, because the pool of applicants is large and you have to interview a lot of applicants to find ones who successfully pass drug screens, criminal checks, and reference checks.
I recommend it if you enjoy working with people, have excellent computer skills, and enjoy coordinating a variety of tasks concurrently. I find I learn something new every single day.
