This is not the way to become rich. In times of peace you are often looked down upon, in times of war you are regarded highly, but the dangers are there. If you enjoy working and leading mostly young folks, who always provide a challenge, both during working hours and non, then this is the career for you. It does provide you with the opprtunity to actually live and work in foreign lands, where you learn differnet cultures, different languages. Staying physically fit is made easier for you as most places require you to include PT as part of your day.
Although my career is not exactly like any of the ones above (Navy logistics), I love it. The only tough consideration is that we deploy a lot. I definitely would do it again. Pros: a lot of business & logistics experience. Cons: going to sea a lot. People should know that logistics does not get as much "glory" for being in the fight, but today's war is a different place. Logistics folks are doing just as much as their line counterparts.
